Lead a team of 23 that encompassed Business Development, Estimators, Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and administrative support. After corporate office divided sales and operations into two positions, served as Director of Operations for the Southeast Regional Office with a focus on operations and program/project management.
Drax Biomass – Wood Pellet Storage Facility / 2014

Selected to provide design-build services for a wood pellet storage and shipping facility at the Port of Greater Baton Rouge. This complex project included the erection of two 120-feet-tall domes for wood pellet storage, conveyors, a ship loader, truck unloading building, rail unloading building and a control building. With storage, mechanical housing, railroad and truck unloading, transfers to cargo ships, aeration systems and more than a half-mile of conveyors.

As part of a developer project site work, including building pad, already complete. Pre-engineered 146,000 sf warehouse including a full bakery, meat, deli and produce departments; and a fuel center. The warehouse includes 3,500 sf of cold storage space, 5,000 sf of coolers, an office, tire center, and an equipment mezzanine. The building construction consists of masonry with splitface, quick brick 10” CMU and metal panels, 6” slab on grade; PNA diamond dowel system/diamond basket assembly, metal roof on insulation and steel joists, dock levelers, 19 package roof-top units, 13 exhaust fans, 7 unit heaters, 3 VAVs and 1 gas heating unit, all protected by a wet automatic sprinkler system. This project’s construction schedule was 110 days from foundations to the Grand Opening.

Converted an existing 593,404 sf distribution center into an adult diaper manufacturing plant. The existing load bearing tilt-up concrete panel structure includes interior 8” CMU and 8” metal stud with gypsum walls and a single-ply ballasted EPDM membrane roof. The renovations to the original facility included removing existing concrete slabs to install interior footings, utilities and equipment foundations.
