SEI Gives Back With Backpacks
At SEI, we’re proud of all our construction projects. But nothing compares to building a brighter future for children.
Over the past 17 years, Tennessee Food on Foot Foundation has helped schoolchildren get the right start on the academic year. How? By providing new backpacks filled with all the supplies they need. In 2024, SEI stepped up to help.
“There are students out there who need our support to succeed,” offers Kenny Noah, SEI’s President/CEO. “And a big part of that is ensuring they have the tools to do the job. So when Food on Foot asked for our help to buy backpacks—and fill those backpacks with pencils, pens, paper, and other supplies–we leaped at the opportunity.”
With our donation of $15,000 to Food On Foot, 350 children in the Morristown area will have the tools for success. As the organization’s Founder and President, Carolyn Jarnagin, states, those donated items make an enormous difference in the life of a child.
“The way out of poverty for kids to have the tools for a good education.” Jarnagin adds that Matthew 25:40 comes to mind when she thinks about Food on Foot’s mission.
“And the King will answer, ‘Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these, my brothers, you did it to me.”
It takes close to $60,000 to fully meet the need for the 2024 school year. To donate to Food on Foot, mail a check to Food on Foot, P.O. Box 2129, Morristown, TN 37816 or call 865-566-5778 today.
