SEI Unleashes Support For Local Humane Society

Animal welfare is so important. At SEI, you might call it our pet project.

So when the Morristown-Hamblen Humane Society (MHHS) hosted Wags To Wishes to kick off fundraising for its proposed shelter, we helped kick things off with a $5,000 donation.

“The Humane Society does amazing things to take care of animals in our community,” states Kenny Noah, SEI’s President and CEO. “We can’t think of many causes more worthy than ensuring the Society has a quality location to take care of animals and offer adoptions.”

MHHS Interim Director Carlee Stevenson agrees. “We desperately need to expand so that we not only can save more animals, but also so we can have proper isolation areas for incoming animals more at risk of disease.”

The Morristown area is currently grappling with a growing number of abandoned animals. Meanwhile, the current shelter only has 21 kennels for adult dogs, insufficient for such a rapidly growing area. With the new capital campaign, Stevenson feels the completed facility will provide the area with much-needed relief.
