GFL Project Finishes Up

With the end of 2023 came the end of a landmark project for SEI. That’s because we put the finish touches on GFL’s new recycling in Apex, North Carolina, on December 23.

“This was a new kind of project for us,” Bryan Weatherford, Project Manager offers. “So we were definitely eager to be involved. We learned a great deal, created new relationships with the GFL team, and look forward to any number of projects with them in the future. ”

The completed system filters leachate produced by the landfill to be pumped to the Holly Springs waste water treatment facility. The permeate being produced from the reverse osmosis system will result in reduced current disposal costs and will also reduce odor and downstream treatment of the leachate produced by the landfill.
