With Todd Green It’s In The Blood
Some people enter the construction business. Others are practically born into it.
Take Todd Geene for example, Site Manager for a project in Atlanta. While he’s been with us since April, 2023, he’s been on job sites since he was nine years old.
“I love to see people’s reactions when I tell them how young I was when I started hanging drywall with my dad.” Growing up in Lucedale, Mississippi, Todd’s father was a contractor himself. In fact, he was pretty much a veteran in the trade by the time he hit eighteen.
“After my high school graduation, all my friends went to a party. Me? I was packing my bag for an out-of-town job to help build a Foot Locker in Rome, Georgia.”
What was it like to work so closely with family? “My dad fired and hired me more times than I can count,” Todd says with a laugh. “But I learned a lot.”
So much, that Todd was in demand, working on projects all over the Southeast. His most memorable job? “The Be Our Guest Restaurant at Disney World. You can find it in Belle’s Castle I was supervising and working with my tools, but I did all the metal stud framing and ceilings for that attraction.”
Todd calls Orlando home, along with his wife, Alixandra, and eight year old daughter, Ashleigh Anne. So every once in a while, the Greenes visit Disney World just to see his handiwork. Todd’s verdict? “Still looks great several years later.“
When Todd isn’t on the job site or taking special care of his household, he loves fishing. So much that he’s becoming a veteran on the fishing circuits. In fact, the last tournament saw Todd and his partner place 7th out of 47 competitors. And that’s impressive in anyone’s book.
Thanks, Todd, for all your great work. And welcome to SEI. We look forward to being part of your family for a long time to come.
